Dr. Wright, a graduate of Harvard University and University of Michigan Medical School, began practicing family medicine in 1971. Early in his career, he was intrigued by the story of one of his patients, an elderly woman who had been able to maintain robust health on a regimen of diet and nutritional supplements, without any medications. Wright therefore began to investigate the scientific literature on nutritional therapies, some of which dated back many decades, and nearly all of which was unfamiliar to the mainstream medical community.
